Subject: clutch slipping

1968 MGB Last time on the road 1998. When everythhing is cold the clutch fells good with no slipping. The car runs fine until it is turned off and sets for less than one hour. Upon restart the clutch slips immediately. The transmission has a overdrive unit mounted on it. That doesn't seem to be working. Disconnected the overdrive electrical connection and saw no difference in the clutch. Suggestion please.
