Last run/registered in 1977; stored in heated, dehumidified garage ever since. Engine presumably seized, but chassis, body and floorboards are solid; photos show full extent of rust. Ignition/electrical system needs extensive work; owner died before completing conversion to solid-state ignition, but parts for both systems are included. Includes: never-used full tonneau and hood covers with storage bags; spare tire on wire wheel; four extra tires; driving lights; BMC Workshop Manual. Passenger's side door removed for storage, but door and hinges are present. Although the convertible top is in very good condition, its windows have age-related fogging. 1970 MG Midget for sale with 41k miles. I've had the car for just under a year. It was running well when I bought it but I have not had it on the road since last October. The car needs attention and I just don't have the time to put into repairing and restoring it. I've taken it to a very reputable mechanic who listed the following issues: both front brake hoses cracked, rear brake lines need replacing, front king pins loose, front end needs overhaul, sway bar bushing loose, rear spring bushing bad, back up light needs to be fixed. They did say the engine and transmission were in very good shape. The interior is also in good shape. There was a slight fuel leak that I had fixed but it is apparently still leaking. It was recommended to me that this car would be an excellent parts car if I was not willing to put the time and investment into the suspension issues. Happy to send more pictures by request. I also have some various parts that I will throw in as well. | ||||
